San Luis Obispo offered my dark jagged mind a sort of geographical therapy: sunshine, stability, and beauty.

About San Luis Obispo
San Luis Obispo, commonly referred to as “SLO,” is one of California’s oldest coastal communities, located halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco. Nestled in a valley surrounded by the Santa Lucia Mountains, San Luis Obispo offers a Mediterranean style climate that truly helps lift spirits—and according to Oprah it is the “happiest city in America.” In SLO, flowers and vegetation are in bloom year-round, not excluding our Windhorse community garden!
SLO is home to the large university of Cal Poly, bringing an urban twist to an otherwise small and intimate town. Clients here live a short walk from downtown, which offers a variety of shops, restaurants, cafes, and a weekly farmer’s market. Fair climate and short geographic distances make SLO an incredibly pedestrian and bike friendly community. There is also a robust bus system, making transportation a breeze for residents.
Clients frequently take advantage of the wide variety of outdoor activities available in the surrounding area. Several hiking trails, beaches, and the iconic Pacific Coast Highway are just a short commute from the city center. With such favorable weather and lush surroundings, this city never fails to offer a wealth of opportunities to get outside and have some fun.
