The Windhorse program allowed me time, space and solitude for rest and patience for the many baby steps that finally got me over the hill of the reductions and restored me to full, drug-free health. All of the small things that my team did regularly; give me a hug, hold my hand, do errands for me when I was too weak to walk, and support me to go back to Hampshire College and finish my degree, were what allowed me to break free.
I am now living quite freely, healthfully and happily on my own. I have received grants, self published two books, published lots of poetry in magazines, spoken to many people publicly about my experiences both live and on public radio and am living many of my dreams.
