Windhorse Integrative Mental Health invites
Applications and Nominations for
Housemate
General description: A Windhorse Housemate lives in a Windhorse rented or owned apartment (or house) as a therapeutic roommate with a matched Windhorse client. The housemate works to create and maintain a warm, sane and ordered home environment for the benefit of him or herself and the client, provides friendly companionship for the client approx 3 hours/day, is present overnight, and participates in clinical team and supervisory meetings as required. Several meals a week are to be shared in the household. Because this is a match situation, the duration is dependent on the client's enrollment. If there is no warning of client termination, Windhorse offers two weeks salary, food and one month's rent and utilities beyond the date of notice to give time to relocate. An outside job or studies of no more than 25 hours/week is allowed.
Job requirements: Requires mature, responsible person. Experience in shared living situations preferred. Good house holding skills are necessary, including interest in uplifted environment, cleaning, meal planning, preparation, expense management and record keeping. No smoking, no pets (unless by special arrangement), no drugs or alcohol. Must agree to not be employed more than 25 hours per week elsewhere.
